Brandon J. Simmons is an actor, director, writer, and producer for theater. He co-founded The Seagull Project in 2011, and has appeared in the The Cherry Orchard, The Three Sisters (Gregory Award, Outstanding Production), and The Seagull, both in Seattle and on tour to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. His play Is She Dead Yet? (a white comedy) received the Gregory Award for Outstanding New Play in 2015. As an actor, Brandon has appeared with many theaters in Seattle; most recently he played Lord Henry Wotton in Book-It Repertory's Picture of Dorian Gray, directed by Victor Pappas. As a director, Brandon helmed the Seattle premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins's An Octoroon at ArtsWest last spring, and he and Jay O'Leary co-directed Anansi and the Half-ling by Jade Jones, currently running through November 17 at Annex Theatre.
